Introducing 2DR: Bringing It All Together
Steribar Systems and 2DSurgical are pleased to introduce 2DR — a unified brand that brings together our expertise, products, and innovation under one identity.
More than a new name, 2DR represents a simpler, more connected approach to delivering solutions across healthcare, laboratory, and industrial settings. With our entire product portfolio now available through one website, we're making it easier for customers to explore our technologies and discover tailored, data-rich identification systems.
Why the Change?
Both Steribar Systems and 2DSurgical have established world-leading reputations in their respective areas, sharing a commitment to enabling reliable barcode reading in demanding environments. However, as applications for 2D codes continues to expand, so too does the need for a more cohesive offering. With the 2DR branding, we're aiming to align our knowledge, product development, and manufacturing under a single, clear direction.
Expanding Beyond Healthcare and Labs
Alongside this change, we're expanding into industry with the launch of the UltraDPM range.
Direct Part Marking (DPM) presents its own set of challenges, from low-contrast codes on metal surfaces to withstanding harsh workshop conditions. The UltraDPM range has been designed in-house to address these challenges directly, ensuring high-performance scanning where standard devices often struggle.
A Broader, More Connected Portfolio
With the transition to 2DR, our portfolio now spans three key areas:
Healthcare – supporting surgical instrument tracking and clinical workflows
Laboratory – enabling traceability across biotech and research environments
Industrial – delivering robust solutions for DPM and manufacturing applications

For existing customers, nothing changes in terms of how you work with us. Both Steribar Systems Ltd and 2DSurgical Ltd remain unchanged as legal entities, with all existing agreements, accounts, and relationships continuing as normal.
What is evolving is the clarity and scale of what we offer. Under 2DR, it becomes much easier to understand how our products fit together, how they integrate into existing systems, and how they can support adapting workflow requirements.
For new customers, 2DR provides a single point of access to our proven technologies, supported by decades of experience across multiple industries.
